In a world where health and safety are vital, the Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) stands as a beacon for cleaning organizations, offering a comprehensive framework dedicated to elevating quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. CIMS takes a holistic approach, addressing the entire cleaning organization including its people, products, and processes.
The CIMS Standard aims to achieve the following objectives:
- Establish procedures and policies for cleaning organizations to follow when implementing their own quality management programs.
- Guide cleaning organizations through documentation, in ensuring quality, efficiency, and overall customer satisfaction.
- Dictate clearly defined management systems that equip cleaning organizations to develop customer-centric processes.
Since 2012, UNL University Operations Custodial Services has proudly held CIMS certification with Honors and Green Building (GB) certification with honors. This esteemed recognition is the result of a comprehensive assessment conducted by an independent, CIMS-accredited assessor. CIMS-certified organizations demonstrate an unwavering commitment to sustained excellence in cleaning services. Organizations must re-apply every two years to maintain certification.
UNL University Operations Custodial Services, as a CIMS-certified organization, not only upholds the highest standards in cleaning but also underscores its dedication to environmental responsibility. The GB certification with honors reflects a commitment to environmentally preferred services, aligning with the needs and expectations of building occupants.
